Juneteenth weekend is quickly approaching and Charlotte has a number of fun events to celebrate the one of the Blackest holidays of the year. Here are a few you should swing by.

Juneteenth Jam! Block party (June 18)
Where: Victoria Yards

Join Blumenthal Performing Arts for a block party experience with live music, food trucks, and more activities to celebrate Juneteenth.

DuRag Fest 2022 (June 18)
Where: Camp North End

See art exhibitions, live music, pop-up vendors and more in this celebration of Black creativity and Black pride. 

Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas (June 16-19)
Where: The House of Africa

The three-day festival includes youth day camp, arts, music, performances, talent shows and more.

A More Colorful Night Festival (June 17)
Where: 619 Anderson Street

A night filled with musical performances by local artists, food, drinks, and a number of other vendors. 

Juneteenth on the Historic West End Corridor (June 18)
Where: Senior Drive in University Park

Check out the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration in the Historic West End Corridor which will feature performances by African dancers, Black musicians and storytellers. There will also be voter registration and education, children’s activities, health screenings and more.

2nd Annual Juneteenth Golf Classic (June 18)
Where: Rocky River Golf Club At Concord

Calling all golfers! Participate in one round of golf for a good cause and celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. Proceeds will be donated to the Julius L. Chambers High School Golf Team.

Celebration of Freedom (June 19)

Celebrate Juneteenth with food, love music, mentorship and empowerment while networking with Black entrepreneurs in Charlotte.

Juneteenth Celebration: Elements of Freedom (June 19)
Where: Harvey B. Gantt Center 

A day full of activities starting with an art workshop with Visual Artist Dakotah Carter, an open discussion on the importance of Juneeteenth and a live musical performance by Quentin Talley and The Soul Providers.

Breakin Da Chainz Juneteenth Brunch (June 19)
Where: 1501 MINT

Start the morning off right with some breakfast and a mimosa or three with your friends at 1501 MINT.

Buy-Black Fest (June 19)
Where: StarMed Family and Urgent Care

Support some of Charlotte’s local Black-owned businesses. There will also be a kids zone , DJ, and an array of vendors including: Food Trucks, Retail, Dessert, & Artisans.
