A 15-year-old boy has died after he was shot Friday in the north Charlotte.
According to a statement by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, at 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon in the 6700 block of Mallard Park Drive
When officers arrived, they found the boy with an apparent gunshot wound lying outside near apartments in the area.
Authorities have yet to release the name of the victim.
