The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Vaniah Nichols. Nichols was last seen at Target at 8120 University Boulevard, according to a news release from the department. A year later, CMPD remembers officer killed while assisting at accident scene

A year after police Office Mia Goodwin was killed while working a traffic accident, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department held a pre-dawn procession on Thursday to honor her life and service. CMS announces new interim superintendent

Crystal Hill has been named the new interim superintendent by Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education, effective Jan. 1. State board orders new election after poll worker told voters a candidate had died

Voters in the town of Dobson will go back to the polls after the State Board of Elections found that a poll worker told voters on Election Day that one of the candidates in the city election had died.
