A Jordan Brand holiday hoops tournament kicks off in Charlotte

A new holiday basketball tournament showcasing some of the country’s top collegiate hoop programs will happen in Charlotte from Dec.20 – Dec.21.

The Jumpman Invitational showcases four match-ups over two days. The tournament features men’s and women’s teams from North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, and Oklahoma, the first universities to sign partnership deals with Jumpman.

The event, in partnership with Charlotte Sports Foundation, will be played at the Spectrum Center starting at 7 p.m. both nights.

Check out the schedule is below:

Tuesday, December 20

  • Michigan vs. North Carolina women at 7 p.m.
  • Florida vs. Oklahoma men at 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, December 21

  • Michigan vs. North Carolina men at 7 p.m.
  • Florida vs. Oklahoma women at 9:30 p.m.

Games will also be aired on ESPN. 

Danny Morrison, executive director of the Charlotte Sports Foundation, said the tourney could become the “marquee college basketball event of the holiday season” in the city.
